About Seishinkan Dojo

A place for sincere, disciplined practice

2796640.jpg

Seishinkan dojo is a traditional dojo. Training is deliberate, structured and guided by respect.

What Seishinkan is

Seishinkan Dojo was established to preserve and teach traditional Japanese martial arts in a way that is calm , disciplined and sincere.

Training is not approached as sport or fitness, but as a long-term practice that develops awareness, control and character over time.

The name Seishinkan (誠心館) translates as Hall of the Sincere Heart — reflecting the importance of honesty, discipline, and personal responsibility in training.

The dojo follows a structured curriculum rooted in traditional Japanese martial systems. While the training is practical, it is also philosophical, emphasizing awareness, restraint, and character development.

This is not a fitness class or a competitive school. It is a place for quiet, focused practice over the long term.

The meaning of Seishinkan

Seishinkan can be understood as "The hall of the sincere heart"

This reflects the values of the dojo: training honestly, without shortcuts and with respect for the art, the instructor, and fellow students.

Progress is measured by understanding and conduct, not by rank alone.

How We Train

Training at Seishinkan is structured, progressive and safety-focused.

Students learn to move correctly before moving quickly, and to understand principles before learning large volumes of techniques.

Partner training is central, and control is prioritized at all times.
